Several helplines have been set up by the GLBT help center to act as a confidential resource for all groups from general to youth to senior individuals that may need support. The GLBT site even has a resource for finding LGBT near you!

A Safe Place is a place for equality for teens and adults. The Safe Place helps you and your peers to understand gender identity and sexual orientation. Check out the communities link where you will find resources to help your community become a safe place.

The Trevor Project

The Trevor project was created as a place for young people to turn when facing challenges related to their sexual orientation and identity. The Trevor Lifeline is a 24/7 support line staffed with trained counselors to help you in times of need.

The Coming Out Handbook

Knowing who and what to tell people when you are ready to come out can be intimidating. This handbook will walk you through understanding what coming out means to you and how you navigate the process. This handbook will support you in your decisions and conversations related to coming out.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The CDC has a large list of resources that help individuals looking to support loved ones in the LGBTQ+ community as well as resources for educators and school administrators for bullying and more. The GLBT National Help Center

Youths can participate in the Weekly Youth Chatrooms. These chatrooms are monitored for youth who are 19 years of age and younger. Choose from The LGBT Teen Chatroom or the Trans Teen Chat Room to create friendships and connections with people who are in the same position as yourself.
